Hello people, a dull day here in the UK ! Well this week is the 'DRIZZLE' stitch ! A strange stitch , which stands proud of the background Material........I had a dilemma in choosing a design for this stitch ! Most people will opt for the drizzle stitch flower but after much deliberation......this is what I came up with !!!!!
Sorry there are no beads on this mandala, apart from the one little pearl on the bow in her hair !
I have used a cotton DK yarn for the 'drizzles' and a linen ground fabric with DMC threads for the facial features and a rayon thread for the lips !!!
From the 30th sept, I shall be away for my daughters wedding in Las vegas and return a week later !
Thank you all for your wonderful support and lovely comments you leave.....I am blown away by the
comments sometimes....they mean so much to me !!!! Have a great week, be back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Perfect use for this stitch. That is adorable.
ReplyDeleteAw, she's so cute! I love it.
ReplyDeleteHow cut is this!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Connie.
ReplyDeleteThis is as already said "a perfect use for this stitch". How weird is this stitch, it seems to enter the fabric at only one spot and then do a crochet like stitch on itself! Love the cute little nose and luscious lips, the pearl on the bow is all that is needed. Well done again xx Have a fantastic week and be watching for your return will we are away. xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely brilliant Chris this stitch makes wonderful hair and you have stitched the face beautifully....love the bow in her hair too.

Such a cute way to use this stitch, Chris. You made soooo many!
ReplyDeleteThat is cute. It would make a cute broach scaled down.
