A passion for Pascal.......Glazig style !

Hello to you all....firstly, please forgive me for being absent lately......Life  and 'husbands' get in the way sometimes ! Well I had a great week away in the sun shine....Lots of walking through forests and Met our son off the cruise ship for
a couple of hours which was lovely........
Right lets get down to what you are here for.....................This embroidery is a
french style, which I discovered whilst surfing the internet ! I believe it is one of the most interesting, colourful and beautiful styles of embroidery that I have ever
seen......I adore the textural effect of the different stitches !
A gentleman by the name of   Monsieur Pascal  Jaouen runs an embroidery school that teaches this style of embroidery....Here's the link

                            http://www.ecoledebroderie.com/cours.html

This is my version of his style.............................Enjoy !

I think I'm back in full swing with my stitching..........This project has really given me the creative buzz that I needed ! I am nearing completion of this little beauty, so
give me a couple of days and I shall post up the whole picture !!
Thank you to all the followers who take the time to visit and comment on my blog,
it is so appreciated.........Any questions about this embroidery can be left in the comments and I will do my best to answer........Have a good week

  2. Ella, I just love this style of embroidery. I am interested if you took a course. I have looked on the link and the photos are lovely but too small to see the detail that you have in yours. Many thanks. June

    1. Hi Juno, no I have not done a course, I simply
researched and looked very closely at as many images as I could find ! Although I am using his style, I have put my own 'stamp'on it.....Adding
a few more stitches of my own choice !

  3. Hello Chris, How absolutely Beautiful stitching. Love it and it definitely very creation and colorful... Pity the site does not translate to English so more people could read it... I look forward to seeing your completed project... I have started a rooster but stopped stitching because I did not know how to proceed with some fancy stitching.. Maybe this kind of stitching will get me motivated again. Thanks for sharing. Hugs judy

  7. I love the colors and the textures, but I don't really read French! Could you explain more about the technique and the thread you are using?

    1. Hi Margo,The technique mostly used is buttonhole stitch along with chain, hungarian braid stitch is one that I have just learnt on You tube which is the coral coloured line in the centre of the first picture ! Also there is some simple weaving
which is strangely effective as part of the design ! Hope this helps you margo......
