TAST WEEK 37 PISTIL STITCH !

Hello darlings, its great to be back in the swing of things and this week its the wonderful 'pistil stitch' !
This is a beautiful stitch that is used for flowers.......hence the name !! I had an amazing time with this stitch

and I am sure it could be used for many, many projects in embroidery......I have started a new hobby and that is 'FELTING !' On this weeks mandala I have needle felted the design onto black felt and then embellished it with the 'Pistil' stitch !
Perle 8 threads, tiny size 15 beads and needle felting techmiques were used.......I love this design, so
simple and elegant I think......What do you think ??? I love to read your comments and thank each and every one of you for taking the time to look in on me !!!     xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
P.S. I'M PICKING A WINNER ON MONDAY FOR THE GIVE-AWAY................

  3. Another fantastic Mandala! You are so clever at mixing techniques; here felting and embroidery make a wonderful match. I also admire you for your design skill and can see you had a ball making this beautiful piece.

  4. What I think I love most about your work is that you seem to listen to the stitch and ask what it wants to become. Your work just always makes sense and is cohesive. The colors are lovely. I would love to get inside your head while you are creating one of these :)

  15. this is lovely. the use of the felt under the pistil stitching is really effective. I think it's a great idea doing the TAST challenges as mandalas. At the end you will have a lovely portfolio of work that works together as a whole rather than a lot of unconnected samplers. I have enjoyed looking at them all.
