TAST 2012 WEEK 22, KNOTTED CRETAN

Good morning all you lovely people! The sun is shining here in the uk and I am on the ball this week with my TAST challenge........Knotted cretan is the stitch this week and I did struggle a little. I dont even know if I have done it right.....but alas, I am happy with the end product, which I hasten to add, I've done in double quick time this week !!!!! If I have done this stitch wrong then please forgive me........This is one stitch that I have difficulty getting my head around !!!!!  This is it .............................................

TAST 2012 BUTTERFLY CHAIN, WEEK 21 !

Hello folks, Phew..... what a warm day we have had ! This week the butterfly chain stitch....Oh what a pretty one, I shall certainly use this one again ! I mounted die-cut circles of felt, to give a 3D effect ! oh boy did I enjoy making this and I would love to make more mandalas in this style.......beads and sequins and a bit of imagination and Voila.....There you have it.....Thankyou so much for stopping by, it means the world to me !!!

TAST WEEK 20..... Bullion stitch

Hello everyone, So sorry this is late, but I have been away for a few days, visiting my son in Brighton......what a place ! Such amazing things going on there.......there was a mini car rally, while we where there....the place was heaving !! My son is just about to finish his degree at The Brighton School of Modern music, I digress..............
Anyway this is my rather late sample of the 'BULLION STITCH'. I decided to use a very long 'DOLL' sewing needle, about 7 inches long to do the bullion stitches and had great fun doing them ! This stitch is quite a complex stitch to do, but luckily I have been doing them for many years so they were'nt a problem for me.....

TAST 2012 HALF CHEVRON STITCH WEEK 19

Hello people, another week passed by with diabolical weather to boot in the uk....YUK !!!

This weeks stitch has been mega fun.....its the first time I have tried this stitch and I have fallen head over heels with this one!!! I could do so much with this stitch......... TAST 2012 CROSSED BUTTONHOLE, WEEK 18

Hello all, at last we have a decent day (weatherwise) here in the uk ! The weather here has been awful, all week ! This weeks TAST STITCH, I can only describe as mindbending ??? I have to admit that I found this stitch a real headache...... In saying that, I played safe and went with an evenweave fabric and did a little cross stitch design ! Its been so long since I did cross stitch but I am very pleased with how it turned out !!

This design is meant for a 'BISCORNU' pincushion......I urge you to google this strange word and you will find the most wonderful colllectable pincushions....by the way, the word means 'QUIRKY....ODDLY SHAPED "
