TAST 2012 CROSSED BUTTONHOLE, WEEK 18

Hello all, at last we have a decent day (weatherwise) here in the uk ! The weather here has been awful, all week ! This weeks TAST STITCH, I can only describe as mindbending ??? I have to admit that I found this stitch a real headache...... In saying that, I played safe and went with an evenweave fabric and did a little cross stitch design ! Its been so long since I did cross stitch but I am very pleased with how it turned out !!

This design is meant for a 'BISCORNU' pincushion......I urge you to google this strange word and you will find the most wonderful colllectable pincushions....by the way, the word means 'QUIRKY....ODDLY SHAPED "
Anyway where ever you are, have a very happy and wonderful week end and thank you for visiting my little creative corner........xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  1. Chris you never ceased to amaze me with your beautiful work...this piece of work is so clean and crisp..if that makes sense.
If you look at your first photograph you can see so many patterns within the square...love the touch of beading all the sides..once again fabulous..I am so looking forward to seeing all your mandalas put together and the over all effect.
    Have a great weekend

  3. Yet again, you share with us the most stunning work! How clever of you to make the centre in cross stitch, the best combination for the crossed buttonhole border. I agree, it is a somewhat difficult stitch.
