This is the image .........I used my 'Transfer Tutorial' technique for the outlines and then I set about painting the fabric........Although the colours have come out lighter than anticipated, I am really delighted with the outcome.......Take a look.................
I hope to complete this piece in the next few days ! I thought maybe some of you would like to see this piece in progress and I would like to show you some of the close ups...............
I adore the french knot eyelashes !
And the crisscross feathers in the head dress !
Bullion knots and beads in her hair !
The pretty variegated leaves..........
I do hope that you like this piece and I shall show the completed picture in a few days.........Meanwhile thank you for dropping by and have a great week end !

ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning piece, Christina.
ReplyDeleteFabuleux combi nation of painting and stitching.... lovely work....
ReplyDeleteWhat is that variegated embroidery thread you used for the leaves? It's perfect for embroidery with such a short repeat. So many of even embroidery-specific threads have ridiculously long repeats.
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by your work and hope to become as skilled as you one day.
Piękna interpretacja haftu.
