Hello dear followers, firstly I apologise for not returning with my last project finished !  I procrastinate far too much , I need my knuckles rapped......tut tut naughty girl ! The trouble is that I have so much creative energy that I flit from one project to another, so please forgive me......So enough waffle, here is a little something I have made for my Grandaughter as a gift for passing her swimming certificate.....Ella-mae, I love you so much ,well done sweetheart.........

My watercolour background with a myriad of different stitches and mostly perle threads

I just love the colours and the simplicity of this little embroidery !

I have also started a geometric Canvaswork design....take a look

This sort of needlework really intrigues me and is such fun to do !

So watch this one grow.............

I am off again on holiday tomorrow....We are going to Woodland Leisure Theme Park in Devon and taking Ella-mae with us, boy are we gonna have fun !!!

Folies Bergère.......The unity of watercolour and stitch !

Hi folks, well its still well hot here in the UK ! I love modern art and I came across a phenomenal piece of art the other day and I just new that I could interpret this piece into some great stitching !

This is the image .........I used my 'Transfer Tutorial' technique for the outlines and then I set about painting the fabric........Although the colours have come out lighter than anticipated, I am really delighted with the outcome.......Take a look.................

I hope to complete this piece in the next few days ! I thought maybe some of you would like to see this piece in progress and I would like to show you some of the close ups...............

I adore the french knot eyelashes !

And the crisscross feathers in the head dress !

The pretty variegated leaves..........

in my garden with a broken wing.......He died shortly after this was taken !

Glazig style complete !

Hello all, just a quick post to show you the 'Glazig style' project completed.....

These are the stitches that I have used for this project..............

BUTTONHOLE, CHAIN,COUCHING, WEAVING, SATIN,

HUNGARIAN BRAID ( TUTORIAL ON YOUTUBE ),

SPIDERS WEB.

The threads that I have used are.................

PERLE 8, PERLE 5, DMC 6 STRAND FLOSS, DMC SATIN

A passion for Pascal.......Glazig style !

Hello to you all....firstly, please forgive me for being absent lately......Life  and 'husbands' get in the way sometimes ! Well I had a great week away in the sun shine....Lots of walking through forests and Met our son off the cruise ship for
a couple of hours which was lovely........
     Right lets get down to what you are here for.....................This embroidery is a
french style, which I discovered whilst surfing the internet ! I believe it is one of the most interesting, colourful and beautiful styles of embroidery that I have ever
seen......I adore the textural effect of the different stitches !
   A gentleman by the name of   Monsieur Pascal  Jaouen runs an embroidery school that teaches this style of embroidery....Here's the link

I think I'm back in full swing with my stitching..........This project has really given me the creative buzz that I needed ! I am nearing completion of this little beauty, so
