Buttonhole wheel cups....TAST.week 43

Hello everyone, first a huge apology to all my dear followers for the long wait !! On return from Vegas,
I have had a few health problems but so very glad to be back doing what I do best !!!!
This week is week 43 of TAST..........Buttonhole wheel cups ! So much can be achieved with this.........
I think I could push this to its limits as an experimental exercise !! These are the threads that were used..........

This was enormous fun to make and I am so happy to be well again !!  I blame the jet lag for upsetting my
constitution............

Las Vegas wedding !

Hi folks, its nice to be back in England, after a very hectic and memorable week in Vegas for my daughters wedding ! Will be back soon with a new post.....Have a great week !!!!!!!!

Tast week 39, knotted buttonhole stitch !

Hello All, just a quick post today, to show you my latest beaded mandala for week 39 of TAST ( TAKE A STITCH TUESDAY ) !!!
The usual DMC threads, perle 5 thread, felt background, pearls, beads and a rather large crystal and green donut bead to complete the mandala !!!
I'm off on Sunday to Las vegas for my daughters wedding and I am so excited.........Sorry this post is so short and sweet but I have so much to do !!!
NO POST FOR WEEK 40, BUT SHALL BE BACK IN TOP FORM THE WEEK AFTER........

A very proud Mum and Dad !!!

Hi there, just a quick post.......Our Son graduated last Friday........He achieved his B.A.HONOURS

DEGREE and got a 2-1..........He attended 'THE BRIGHTON INSTITUTE OF MODERN MUSIC '

and attained his degree in guitar !! He has landed himself a wonderful job on a cruise ship sailing around the world for six months...starting in November !!! We know we are so fortunate to have a son who has worked so hard to achieve his goals and are particularly proud to be his parents.........Thank you for stopping by to see a little bit of my life !!!!!

Tast 2012 drizzle stitch, week 38 !

Hello people, a dull day here in the UK ! Well this week is the 'DRIZZLE' stitch ! A strange stitch , which stands proud of the background Material........I had a dilemma in choosing a design for this stitch ! Most people will opt for the drizzle stitch flower but after much deliberation......this is what I came up with !!!!!

Sorry there are no beads on this mandala, apart from the one little pearl on the bow in her hair !
I have used a cotton DK yarn for the 'drizzles' and a linen ground fabric with DMC threads for the facial features and a rayon thread for the lips !!!
From the 30th sept, I shall be away for my daughters wedding in Las vegas and return a week later !

My first 'WET FELTED' PIECE !

Good morning all ! A special post today as I am celebrating my accomplishment of making my own felt !

I had so much fun and I just know that I shall be making a lot more felt for my embroideries ! It is beautiful to sew with and I can blend my own colours for backgrounds........So here is my first piece and I would love
